I am a Principal Economist at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR), a Research Associate at the Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCoE), a Research Associate at The Productivity Institute (TPI) and a UKRI Policy Fellow Alumna. My research interest lies primarily in applied microeconomics, with a focus on labour economics, productivity and public policy. My current research explores how digital technologies and skills interact to shape productivity performance, labour market dynamics, and regional economic outcomes. I work extensively with large datasets, applying advanced econometric techniques to address policy-relevant questions.
Over the years, I have worked on several research projects funded by esteemed organisations such as ESRC, UKRI, ONS, Cabinet Office, NIC, BEIS, DSIT, DIT, Defra, DfE, and the Scottish Government. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton.
Alongside my research, I am committed to supporting the economics profession and streghtening evidence-informed policymaking. I contribute to the Royal Economic Society's Trusted, Accessible and Connected Data for Economics (TRACE) initiative, which seeks to improve the quality, accessibility, and use of UK economic data for research and policymaking. Previously, I have also facilitated the Royal Economic Society Doctoral Training Programme (RES DTP) Job Market Paper Support Workshop, providing feedback and guidance to PhD students preparing their job market papers, and acted as a mentor for the Women in Economics initiative.
