WHAT:
We will be sharing life and building real friendships with Core Members at L’Arche. We will stay in one of the L'Arche homes. We will cook and eat together, play games, maybe sing some karaoke, bowl a little, and do light service in the homes. And, side by side with the L'Arche community, we’ll also support local groups in Clinton working for justice and equality.
WHY:
Because we want to be a church of encounter.
Because we want to be changed.
Because when we step into someone else’s world, our world expands and we learn to love better.
Because recognizing each person’s gifts makes us better advocates for disability justice.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Come with us. Step out of your comfort zone. Share life. Be moved.
You’ll come back with new friends, a changed heart, and a deeper understanding of what it really means to belong "at the table."
