Digital Fluency is the process of understanding how to use technology. The more a student knows about technology, the better their choices will be online. The students will be less likely to make negative comments online.
Digital Fluency also includes digital literacy. Students will be able to tell the good websites from the bad.
A student is at home using the internet for an assignment. The student googles "United States presidents." They choose the first website that pops up.
Without checking if the website is a good source, the student does their homework. When they turn it in the next day it is all wrong. Because the student did not check if the digital literacy was good, they got the wrong information.
