I was honoured to receive the Imperial College Medal in June 2025 in recognition of my contributions to the university over nearly three decades.

The Medal recognised my contributions to finance education, including playing a key role in the launch and design of Imperial's flagship MSc Finance programme in 1998 and subsequently leading the introduction of three further finance Masters programmes. It also recognised my research in credit risk, behavioural finance and climate risk, published in leading finance journals, and my work as a leading voice for women in finance academia, including co-founding the Gender Committee within the Business School and advancing the School's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.

I have always believed that the lack of representation of women in the field of finance serves as a deterrent for prospective female students and academics, and I felt it my duty to provide encouragement to staff and students alike to pursue their dreams. "Diversity is a strength, and the increasing representation in the Business School is furthering its success, something I am very proud of."

Receiving the Imperial College Medal is a true highlight of my career and I am deeply grateful to Imperial for this recognition.
