The Aguanile Design Summaries contain a detailed description, design images, cost estimates, pros and cons, and unknown factors for each design option that was considered for the Aguanile rainwater harvesting system at Libros Libres. The different options include the wood design that we ultimately selected, along with two metal bracket designs and a ground support wood design. This document was created for Finca Escuela and our collaborating partners to provide a fair and thorough representation of each design for discussion. Other viewers can also use this as a template for choosing from multiple designs.

In the rainwater harvesting system manual, we walk through the stages of project development in a format that we hope will benefit others. In each section, which mostly follows rainwater harvesting system elements, we first enumerate some key ideas that informed or came out of our work, then we briefly describe that element in the La Perla project. There is also more general information that people can benefit from if they are building their own system.
