Lap Press adds missing routes and recorded measurements to existing workouts, then helps you explore, organize, and share your training.
For iPhone · iOS 17 or later · Version 1.0.1 submitted for App Store review
Open Activity → Missing Maps, choose a workout and its original recording, then review the changes. Review, Save, and Share sit together on the activity overview. Confirmed writes show Saved; receipts explain skipped data and follow-up needs. Reopening a recording checks its saved data, and the open activity can return after an app restart. Your existing workout summary stays intact.
Open the route for a linked map, measurement charts, and one shared timeline. Inspect positions, select best efforts, or compare measurements. Ignore Pauses excludes recorded manual and auto-pauses; unrecorded stops still count. Original laps stay separate from calculated splits. Activity Data explains sources and uncertainty.
Search and filter the Activity Library and save collections of workout references. Explore weekly volume, personal records, distance records, and yearly trends. Map, Library, Records, and Weekly Volume keep independent filters. Saved segments compare running workouts in the same direction; segment times include pauses and GPS matching is approximate.
Switch from Analyze to Design to compose route images and animations. Use text, photos, layers, layouts, and saved looks. Share a route or a collection with transparent, solid-color, grid, or map backgrounds. Share → Export Data offers GPX routes, FIT workout data, and CSV splits. Health Data & Recovery exports supported readable workout data in a filtered ZIP.
Explore a cached map of your Health routes. Identify the activities behind a line or select an area. Tap the legend to adjust measurement colors, limits, palettes, and scaling. Missing values stay gray; elevation comes from recorded altitude. Reading can be canceled and resumed. Flagged GPS sections are suggestions for review, not confirmed errors.
Review includes separate tools for calorie repair and missing run segments. User-added segments are clearly labeled local estimates and stay outside recorded GPS, Health attachments, records, and ordinary exports. A separate estimated-GPX export includes a provenance warning. Empty Health reads do not prove missing measurements, and Apple controls activity-ring credit.
Import a Garmin ZIP or export folder, inspect skipped files and overlaps, and choose which missing workouts to create. Creation is off by default and requires confirmation. Review split and trim choices for very long recordings. Read restrictions can hide existing workouts, so check Fitness first. Existing routes are checked again before bulk attachments, and partial results remain visible.
Analysis happens on your device. Choose Health permissions and when to share. Circle or polygon privacy zones hide positions in new attachments and exports. Manage Imports and Health Data & Recovery provide removal and recovery tools. There is no Lap Press account, advertising, tracking SDK, or developer-run workout upload service. Apple maps and optional weather use Apple’s services.
Export an original recording from your watch provider or open Activity → Quick Links → Example Activity. The public Boston example uses clearly labeled simulated timing and cannot write to Health. Best Efforts needs detailed distance or GPS samples; totals alone are insufficient.
Lap Press is independent and is not affiliated with Apple or Garmin. Garmin files are exported manually from its website.
