Project Diary Week Four

I've been setting up my IDE (Visual Studio Code) with my React-Native packages, and downloaded the Argon user interface. Setting up Expo and the simulators to be able to test the application has been time consuming. I have also been working on where to host the API for the bot, and was considering Heroku to deploy the machine learning model, so in week five and six, I will be working on ensuring that the prototype is put together, and the chat feature of the robot implemented in the cloud, and that I am able to use the app via my local machine connecting to the remote API. I have had some problems with the app compiling in the simulator, so have had to eradicate some of the conflicts in React Native and in my development environment. I have chosen to use React-Native in my app, rather than using Android, as it can be deployed via cross-platform, including iOS, as I wish as many people to have access to this application as possible. Below is the output of the second robot using the Transformer model, offering profuse apologies and saying it didn't want to hurt anyone.
