Lecture Synopsis
This lecture will focus on the concept of landscape resistance. In particular, it will introduce you to:
How landscape features may impose 'resistance' to organism movement and/or gene flow.
How we can represent the landscape as a resistance surface.
Categories of resistance models, focusing on least cost paths and circuit analysis.
The effects of changing resistance values, and approaches for selecting those values.
