The Landscape and Green Environment Committee (LGEC) is formed to develop the landscape and gardening of the university of Vavuniya.

Mr. K. Jeyavanan, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Agriculture, UOJ.
Mr. M. K. Kumarajeeva, Range Forest Officer, District Forest Office, Vavuniya.
Ms. H. K. N. Sanjeewani, Lecturer (Probationary), Dept. BSc., UOV.
Ms. T. Piranavamalar, Assistant Registrar/ General Administration, UOV.

B. Fund Raising Committee (FRC)
The fund raising committee (FRC) is formed to decide the utilization of such funds donated for general landscape activities. The 10th council meeting held on 30th July 2022 approved for the fund-raising activity to develop the green environment and landscaping of the university of Vavuniya.
Objectives of the donation for the green environment development
To bring the foreign currency to Sri Lanka
To enhance the network of the university of Vavuniya with the local & foreign parties
To provide the natural environment to teaching and learning for the students and staffs
To motivate the students and staffs to involve in the green environment development activities (Tree plantation & Maintenance – Day of remembrance and green infrastructure)
To make the University of Vavuniya as a tourist center to develop the tourism
To promote the necessity of the green environment development for society
To empowering the staff and students to enhance their knowledge on green environment
