Round Robin
Round Robins are a great and easy way to start Kagan Structures in your classroom. Any time you pose an open-ended question a Round Robin can be used.

Round Robins give ALL students a chance to share their thoughts or ideas. We are NOT just calling on ONE student, we are allowing ALL students to respond within a lesson. (Kagan)

The procedure
Teacher poses problem to which there are multiple solutions and provides think time.
Students take turns stating responses or solutions:
Variations:
Single Round Robin- one time around entire team, brief answers.
Continuous Round Robin- many times around team, brief answers, until teacher calls time.
Timed Round Robin- one time around, lengthy answers, each student talks for a given time.
Think-Write-Round Robin- student’s think of own answer, write it down, then round robin share what they wrote.

When To Use..
Round Robin can be used any time you are posing a question. It provides all students the opportunity to respond to a question and takes very little time.
