Cooperative Learning Tips
Have students complete a rubric to self-access their level of cooperation in group activities. Listed on this rubric is the success criteria. If the student feels that they met this criteria, they check a level 3. A level 4 would indicate that the student went above and beyond. The teacher collects the rubric and only marks where they disagree with the student's self-assessment. The teacher may leave a comment in the feedback section. Using a rubric adds an accountability layer to using cooperative learning strategies.
