Welcome to my adventure page, where I share my passion for exploring the outdoors through camping and backpacking. From planning group trips to leading first-time backpackers, my experiences reflect a commitment to preparation, leadership, and creating memorable journeys in nature.
An avid camper since my days as a Boy Scout, I’ve consistently planned, led, and executed camping trips for groups of up to 30 people.
Whether logistics or ensuring everyone enjoys their time outdoors.
I strive to make every trip safe, fun, and well-organized.
As a seasoned backpacker, I specialize in guiding first-time adventurers through the challenges of the backcountry.
I’ve led 12 (and counting) backpacking trips, taking responsibility for planning, managing resources and gear, and responding effectively in high-stakes scenarios to ensure the safety and well-being of others.
I now teach Backpacking at UC Berkeley!
