Early Years

During his stay in Australia, Lam Woo worked at Tsang Hack's (曾克) grocery Store (HACK was wrongly registered as Tsang's surname on entering Australia). This photograph from the Tsang Hack family is the oldest existing image of the grocery store but it is not known whether this is the one Lam Woo has worked or not. The store had moved many times and no longer existed. Tsang Hack's daughter, Tsang Tsz Sin (曾梓倩), who was born in 1900 and resided permanently in Hong Kong, was an intimate friend of Aunt No.3 Lam Shui Yee (林遂意) (They were both born in the same year), while her brother stayed and developed in Australia.
