Sharing what I'm passionate about is definitely one of the most exhilirating parts of my work. It's how you get people connected to the value of what we study, and I highly value every opportunity to engage with the public. Seeing people become genuinely intrigued by the biodiversity of the Amazon river is a constant source of motivation for me.

Inauguration of the public exhibition "Existe Bicho em SP?"
As a joint partnership between Museum of Zoology of the University of São Paulo and Shopping Center 3, we presented the public exhibition "Existe Bicho em SP?" (Eng: Are there animals in São Paulo?) , from 18 Aug to 31 Oct 2026. Through this exhibition, aim to remind the general public of the fauna that often go overlooked in the largest city of Brazil, thereby fostering greater attention to conserve them. Even just simply topping by and having a look at the showcases that we have prepared would already be a huge encouragement for us!
