The dimensions of a workshop depend on its purpose, the number of workers, and the type of equipment used. Below are general guidelines for different types of workshops:

Standard Workshop Dimensions Based on Usage

1️⃣ Small Workshop (Home or Hobbyist)

• Size: 3m × 3m (10ft × 10ft) to 5m × 5m (16ft × 16ft)

• Use: DIY projects, woodworking, small repairs

• Key Considerations: Compact tool storage, proper ventilation

2️⃣ Medium-Sized Workshop (Commercial or Training)

• Size: 10m × 15m (33ft × 50ft) or larger

• Use: Auto repair, welding, machine shop, fabrication

• Key Considerations: Separate zones for different tasks, wide pathways, safety exits

3️⃣ Large Industrial Workshop

• Size: 20m × 30m (65ft × 100ft) or larger

• Use: Heavy machinery, production, large-scale assembly

• Key Considerations: Overhead cranes, proper spacing for forklifts, safety measures

Key Space Allocations Within a Workshop

✅ Work Areas: 2m × 2m (6ft × 6ft) per workstation
✅ Machinery Clearance: At least 1m (3ft) around heavy machines
✅ Storage & Tool Areas: Dedicated 10-20% of total space
✅ Walkways & Safety Zones: Minimum 1.5m (5ft) wide
