Try a demo to make your own concrete thoughts. Alpha (8-12Hz) is not the only rhythm found in the brain. In fact, there are a large range of frequencies that all mix together into the final signal we read out. We used Empirical Mode Decomposition to extract alpha from that signal and create the facade of the building.
To use the Demo:
1. Choose what frequencies you'd like to include in your Brain Wave using the slides at the bottom.
2. Press the "Analyse EMD" button to find the component frequencies in your signal. If there's alpha in your signal it will be highlighted in green.
3. Press the "Make a facade" button to turn the alpha into a 3D model. You may have to scroll down to find the model, from there you can rotate around to see it from different angles.
