The Black Hawks recently donated their time and energy to a cleanup around Lake Carasaljo. Our group of guys were able to spend 2 hours picking trash around the lake and hopefully made it a better place for the town residents.

The Black Hawks made a $250 donation to be used by the Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood to support their COVID-19 response team as needed. We also delivered lunch to Jersey Shore Medical ICU staff to support their valued efforts and hopefully provide some relief.

The Black Hawks presented Kathy Shearman of the Lakewood American Legion Auxiliary Unit 166 with a donation to send one delegate to the New Jersey Girls State. The New Jersey Girls State program is a hands on event where the delegates learn by performing actual "government-in-action" situations.

On Sunday, December 8th, members of the Black Hawks met to help clean up the Woodlawn Cemetery. Hundreds of veterans, firefighters, and police, as well as our own family and friends are buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lakewood. Their contributions and sacrifices have made lives better for us and our current families. What better way to honor them than to insure that their final resting place reflects our respect for their lives!!

Members of the Black Hawks built and installed a bench after steps in the retaining wall were demolished in order to build a paver garden.
On Sunday, April 7th the Lakewood Black Hawks helped to clean up the area around Lake Carasaljo. 15 members attended and collected over 20 bags of trash to make the area more enjoyable for all residents.

The Blackhawks presented Dr. Scott Horowitz, Vice-Principal of Lakewood Middle School with donations collected by Blackhawks members for two Lakewood families and school students recently impacted by a house fire.
