Event Rules
Entry is open to all archers shooting Traditional equipment only - No compounds and No sights on your bow
Recurves, Longbows, Horse-bows, Historical, Stick-bows are welcome.
Any arrows are acceptable.
Any anchoring style acceptable.
Both long and short course could be a mixture of 3D targets and Silhouette targets
Targets will be a mixture of conventional first arrow scoring and Traditional targets where instructions will be provided to define how target is to be shot and associated scoring.
Archers should bring lots of arrows as you may be shooting up to 6 arrows.
Entry fees:
Adults: $20 per day ($40 for weekend)
Youths/cubs/future bowhunters: $15 per day ($30 for weekend)
Family (2 adults and 2 juniors/cubs) $80 for weekend
Age groups are determined by archer’s age at event
If under 8 years old, you may shoot as a Future Bowhunter
If aged between 8 and 12 years you may shoot as a cub.
If aged between 13 and 17 years you may shoot as a Youth
If aged 18 and over you must shoot as a adult
Divisions:
Historical/Stick-bow - Men
Historical/Stick-bow - Ladies
Longbow - Men
Longbow - Ladies
Recurve/Horse-bow - Men
Recurve/Horse-bow - Ladies
Youths - Historical/Stick-bow, Recurve and Longbow all shoot same division
Cubs - Historical/Stick-bow, Recurve and Longbow all shoot same division
Future Bowhunters - Historical/Stick-bow, Recurve and Longbow all shoot same division
Adult newbies that have not shot an event before will be placed on a closer peg but compete in the divisions above
Shooting Pegs - yellow being closest to green furthest from the target
Please note your peg placement to suit your equipment
Yellow peg:
Future Bowhunter (but if its to far to have fun walk closer if you can)
Blue peg:
Ladies - Historical/stick-bow (shooting wood arrows)
Youths - Historical/stick-bow/Recurve/Longbow (shooting wood arrows)
Cubs - Historical/stick-bow/Recurve/Longbow shooting any arrows)
White peg:
Newbies - Recurve/Longbow any arrows
Men - Historical/stick-bow (shooting wood arrows)
Men & Ladies - Recurve (shooting wood arrows)
Men & Ladies - Longbow (shooting wood arrows)
Youths - Historical/stick-bow/Longbow/Recurve (shooting carbon/alloy arrows)
Red Peg:
Men & Ladies - Recurve (shooting carbon/alloy arrows)
Mens & Ladies - Longbow (shooting carbon/alloy arrows)
Mens & Ladies - Horse-bow (shooting any arrows)
Green peg:
string walkers or face walkers (shooting any equipment)
To compete in a division, archers must complete both Saturday and Sunday target rounds and combined score will determine final placement.
All archers compete for a placing in the specialties target competition.
An award will be made to first place winners and certificates presented to second and third place in each division
An award will be made to first place winner in the specialties.
An award for tournament champion will be to highest score across all divisions.
