Lainchburys are well known for their threshing business and the manufacture of agricultural equipment such as; Elevators, Winches and Grain cleaners, less well known is that they were involved in steam boilers and sterilizers.
I have very little information on Lainchburys involvement in small steam engines and sterilizers and whilst I have no doubt they did manufacture the sterilizers I am a little sceptical that they made the actual boilers used. They do seem to have has a close business relationship with a maker of small steam engines and I wonder if perhaps they bought engines from them and re-badged them.
Two letters from Lainchburys to Abbott & Co about boilers that indicate perhaps that Lainchburys bought the boilers from them.
