The question that can often be the most difficult to answer is the one listed above:
What goes on in my classroom?
However, this question is one of the most important to answer. There are a few very important things that go on in my classroom and methods that I hold near.
I believe in:
Controlled chaos
Engagement through Inquiry and Experimentation
Argumentation through research and data presentation
Growth as learners and individuals through experience
Frequent and constructive feedback (From Students, Parents and Peers)
These five core values allow my classroom to continually develop necessary material for the students that walk through my door. Scaffolding and support allow for learners of all backgrounds to feel comfortable and ready to learn. I want each student to build their explorer mindset and be curious about the world around them. With that growth comes challenges and growth in the realm of uncomfortableness. I strive to make sure that each student is active, can manipulate, illustrate, design, experiment, and discuss to increase multiple literacies.
