My name is Emily Lahr. I was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. I spent much of my time around the Marine Corps and have a strong military family background- I've been lucky enough to meet many individuals and to have had wonderful travel experiences. These experiences have shaped who I am as an educator and person.
I graduated from East Carolina University in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology. Then at a crossroads, I chose to continue my academic career in a teaching field. In 2016, I received my Master's of Arts in Teaching Science Education from East Carolina University. In 2023, I completed my doctoral degree at Texas Tech University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education.
It goes without saying, I greatly enjoy school and learning new things. I wholeheartedly believe that knowledge is the key to the future. Education is my passion and it is my goal is to instill the want for lifelong learning and innovation in each individual I interact with.
Always feel free to ask me any questions and contact me if you need to!
