Task 1: Figma-Based High-Fidelity Wireframe
Requirement Details
As part of your Trio Term Project 1, each group is required to submit a high-fidelity wireframe or prototype that visually demonstrates the digital product or service your team has conceptualized. This design will serve as a visual companion to your Content Style Guide and must reflect how your UX writing functions in a real user interface.
🎯 Purpose of the Wireframe
The goal of the high-fidelity wireframe is to:
• Showcase how your written content appears in context
• Demonstrate usability and design logic
• Support and reflect the brand voice and tone established in your style guide
• Simulate real user interactions (e.g., onboarding, completing a task, error resolution)
This is where your words meet design—and come to life visually.
Requirements & Conditions
1. Use the Course’s Designated Figma Platform (English for Information Technology)
All high-fidelity wireframes must be created in the official Figma workspace provided by the course.
Your group will create and share a Figma project link where you must:
• Design your screens
• Apply components, text styles, and layout grids appropriately
• Collaborate and document your team’s design process or notes (do not need to submit an MS Word of this; just put some marginal notes on Figma)
2. Minimum Screens
Your wireframe must include a minimum of 10-12 fully designed screens that reflect the main user journey or user flow of the naure of your proposed digital product. To stress this, each particular app or product you are creating comes with different nature and purposes. Therefore, there is no set rules about what certain screens are absolutely needed. Your choices and decision making will determine how the app looks like and what screens are to be created to reflect the essence of your product. However, some sample, suggested screens may include:
• Welcome / onboarding screen
• Signup or login screen
• Home/dashboard or main interface
• A success message screen
• A 404 or error-handling screen
• About Us
• Our Mission
• Loading page or empty state page
• User Profile page
• Any additional screens relevant to your product’s flow (e.g., settings, CTA buttons or labels, or task completion)
Remarks: Should you have questions about this part, consult your lecturer.
3. High-Fidelity Design Specifications
The visual structure and polish of your wireframe must follow these technical and aesthetic standards:
✅ Minimum of 10-12 fully designed screens
✅ All screens must use real UI components, not placeholder shapes
✅ Consistent color palette, font styles, and spacing
✅ All text must be legible and structured using proper hierarchy (e.g., headings vs. body text)
✅ Buttons and other controls must follow a consistent layout and visual treatment
✅ All screens must be designed for either mobile or desktop (pick one and stick with it)
✅ Ensure UI and content alignment—visual elements must support and reflect your microcopy
4. Submission Rules
All student groups must follow the submission rules below to ensure that their project is accepted, assessed, and graded correctly. Late or incomplete submissions may result in a deduction of marks.
📅 Deadline
• The full task must be submitted via Figma by Sunday 23rd November 2025. You just make sure the link to Figma design file(s) is shared with your lecturer. The easiest way is to share the editor or view mode with your lecturer.
• Late submissions will only be accepted with valid documentation (e.g., medical certificate) and prior notification.
• On November 25th, 2025 (Our last day of class), all members must contribute meaningfully and equitably to the project presentation. The time allocation is just 5 minutes per group. No need to create a PPT or Canva presentation. Just talk through your project.
