Trio Term Projects 1-2: Designing Words, Designing Experience
Welcome to your major group projects in this course! In Trio Term Projects 1-2, you and two classmates will form a creative UX writing team to conceptualize and design a digital product or service—from scratch. This project allows you to apply the principles of user-centered writing, interface communication, and digital product storytelling, using Figma as your design playground.
🎯 Situation:
You’ve just graduated and landed your first job at a fast-growing tech startup YungieFuture, a company on a mission to build digital solutions that make everyday life smoother and smarter. You and two fellow UX writers have just joined the Product Content Team, and guess what? You’re kicking off your very first sprint today. The company’s CEO just came out of a meeting with investors and announced a new product initiative: a brand-new digital product or service that needs to be designed from the ground up. No templates, no legacy content—just a blank canvas and a big vision. Your team’s job? Bring the product to life through strategic UX writing and compelling content design. Your team (you and two other UX writers) will work together as a trio squad—just like in real cross-functional teams.
🌟 Project Theme
Your mission is:
1) to create a Figma-based digital product or service wireframe (such as a mobile app or a website) that solves a real-world problem or enhances everyday experiences,
2) to create a creative Content Style Guide, and
3) to create a working prototype Brand-specific CustomGPT or Gemini Gem for such product or service.
The first two tasks are for Trio Term Project 1, while the third task is for Trio Term Project 2. That is, in these Trio Term Projects, you will need to submit three pieces of work. This is your chance to combine creativity, storytelling, and purposeful writing to craft a thoughtful, engaging user experience.
