When you think of nonfiction, one of the first things to come to mind is the TEXTBOOK. There are many other supplemental materials like magazines, comics, graphic novels, guided reading books, Big Books, narrative picture books etc. that are nonfiction. Nonfiction books and biographies are the genres of children's literature that assist teachers in teaching the necessary content! It is vital to help children read this type of text successfully!
