〜School Clique Pandemic〜
Short Story
At midnight on a weekday, Mika was trembling, holding her breath and trying to hold back her tears, in a school where no one should be. Mika and several other classmates were trapped in a classroom by creatures that were students only a few hours ago, squirming in the schoolyard and hallways.
Mika, who was being bullied, was ordered to go and check on the situation outside the classroom, but Kazu quietly stopped her.
"It's okay. I'll go."
In the midst of this unprecedented catastrophe, like a B-grade horror movie, where students from the same school suddenly turned zombie-like one after another and attacked others, Kazu showed his natural leadership and protected his classmates from the threat.
Kotomi, one of the bullies, clicked her tongue.
"Kazu-kun, you're in danger. Leave it to Mika."
At the moment that Mika felt a strong murderous intent towards Kotomi who was pretending to be a cute girl and rubbing against his arm, the nerd behind Kotomi suddenly transformed into a zombie and bit into her nape.
“Aaaaaah, do you wanna be killed!? nerd."
While Kotomi's true nature rang out as a scream, Kazu calmly fought off the nerd with a mop, but Kotomi convulsed, her eyes rolled back, and her skin gradually turned a pale blue.
In just a few seconds, she turned into a zombie and attacked Mika, but Kazu saved her just in time.
"Are you okay, Mika?"
In a way, Kazu-kun's perfect heroism almost killed her.
Akemi, the ringleader of the bullies, broke down in tears and called out her name,
"No, I don't want you to die yet, Kotomi!!"
Her orders were absolute to Kotomi. Even after she became a zombie and had her neck broken, her loyalty to Akemi out of fear did not disappear.
Kotomi stood up again behind Mika and bit her shoulder. Kazu, who was off guard, was not able to react in time and managed to fight off Kotomi who bit her, but Mika's skin gradually turned pale blue.
Akemi, overjoyed that the scenario had gone according to plan, cried as she pulled Kazu's hand.
"Kazu, we have to run away before Mika turns into a zombie."
As her consciousness faded, Mika watched Kazu being led away by the hand while crying.
