〜Lovesickness of Chinese Zombie〜

Short Story

 Late at night in Shanghai, in a dark, deserted alley...

 The man was trembling and holding his breath. His face was distorted in fear, and blood was dripping from the wound on his shoulder.

"What's going on... Why did this have to happen to me..."

Tramp...tramp...tramp...

 The sound of something mysterious hopping around echoed through the alley.

 A few nights ago, Miao Xi was lying in wait for the man under a high-rise apartment building. The man was tall, had a dangerous scent and a sweet face, and had been hinting at "marriage" and making her give him a considerable amount of money. She had suspected that he had found another woman, as he had been treating her so carelessly recently, and her premonition was unfortunately correct. He had returned home arm in arm with a strange woman.

 Trembling with rage, Miao Xi tried to push the thieving cat away, but the man pushed her away instead. Unable to accept the reality, she clung to him crying, but he threatened her, saying, 

"Your expiration date has passed. Don't come near me again."

and kicked her away.

 She finally became hysterical, entered his room and tried to kill the woman.

"If only you weren't in the world... if only you..." 

Miao Xi muttered, and the next moment she raised the knife at the woman, he hit her in the back of the head with a liquor bottle, and she lost her life.

 The man and woman carried Miao Xi's body deep into the mountains and buried her deep underground. Strangely, lightning struck the area around where they had buried Miao Xi many times, which frightened the woman and made her scream repeatedly in the car on the way home.
