Lac de Leman: A view from Vevey in Switzerland shows grapevines climbing the hillside and the vast expanse of Lac de Leman.
Lake Oeschinen situated 1,578 meter above sea level.
Lac de Neuchâtel : A photo from the mountain while camping.
The name of laboratory (LAC) was also named after the French word "Lac([lak])" meaning "Lake". In Switzerland where I stayed for post-doctoral research, there were numerous lakes everywhere. Lac Léman was the largest lake I had ever seen, and it provided a peaceful setting where I could enjoy life with my colleagues and friends. I loved going camping in the mountains, and the beautiful view of the lake from the peaks always filled me with respect for nature.
Now, back in my home country (Korea), I am rediscovering the beauty of Korea’s natural landscapes. Missing the lakes of Switzerland, which taught me the beauty of nature, I named the laboratory LAC.
I currently belong to the Clean Energy Research Center and am actively working with Dr. Jeong Myeong Ha, Dr. Chun-Jae Yoo, Dr. Kyeongsu Kim, Dr. Jae Wook Choi, Dr. Chang Soo Kim, and Dr. Jung Ho Ahn.
