Since chiral reflections are equivalent (i.e., right- and left-hand expressions of the same level sequence are the same type), using prograde (direction of the first turn) and retrograde (opposite direction) to describe orbital movement is more appropriate than using clockwise/ccw(acw) or right/left terms in the dynamic thread state (see Conceptual Model page).
Level sequence: 0 | 3 2 1 4 5 | 6
Component sequence: M3 + S2
Movement sequence: PrPrP
Level sequence: 0 | 3 2 1 4x5 | 6 *
Component sequence: M3 + Sp2
Movement sequence: PrPrr
* If you are wondering why there is only one x in the level sequence, +1 spiral crossing into the center or into the first circuit are considered stylistic expression rather than an attribute of a type.
