Using this approach, we have shown e.g. quantum entanglement of electrons at molecule / metal interfaces, molecular configuration-selective adsorption and thin film formation and exquisite control of molecular self-assembly on metal surfaces. This structural information is essential to interpret the spectroscopic data that we acquire in our own lab at Arizona using ARPES.
