I have been able to learn about the great body of behavioral economics knowledge which has shaped current questions in the field, and I have enjoyed getting to meet and connect with other young researchers in the LABEL lab.

I have enjoyed learning about the variety of research methods used to better understand the effects of early education and discrimination on cognitive development and life outcomes. The LABEL training program has definitely played a key role in furthering my academic career by allowing me to explore the passions I have, as well as germinating new interests in specific fields of behavioral and social science.

Not only does it require to understand the content, but also challenges me to deliver information in the most concise, yet effective way possible.

I decided to work with LABEL to get a better understanding of the research process and to enhance my knowledge of the implications of behavioral economics. It’s been fascinating to see the applications of behavioral economics from compulsive buying to environmental policy.

LABEL helped me realize that economics isn't only about understanding what decision is best, but also about investigating how and why we decide what we decide. Learning about IQ and giftedness was the first step towards understanding this.

I decided to work with LABEL because of the lab's distinct focus on youth education. I'm also fascinated with how behavioral economic principles spill into business. My first project at LABEL dealt with consumers' tendencies to buy impulsively and compulsively. I now want to learn more about how we can leverage these insights.

With my deep interest in economics and psychology, working with LABEL was the perfect opportunity to explore my academic interests. I have gained a deeper understanding of the process and work that goes into authoring a research paper - from identifying significant aspects to learning different methods used to find evidence.

After reading Ariely's Predictably Irrational, I got hooked to behavioral economics. LABEL gave me the opportunity to study it systematically. I learned how intelligence affects decision making. By researching twins, we can determine whether or not intelligence is hereditary.
