Khun Orakul oversees English-major students throughout the internship application process and during their internship. She facilitates coordination among students, teachers, and placement establishments.
Course Description
Work experience internship in the workplace relevant to disciplines; demonstration of potential performance as a full-time employee; and development of the graduates’ quality according to the stakeholders’ needs.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Utilize English skills and multidisciplinary knowledge to real practice at a particular enterprise;
Perform assigned duties and responsibilities while incorporating self-discipline, professional etiquette, and necessary soft skills; and
Reflect on strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for prospective career paths.
Course Requirement
The 1006494 Cooperative Education is designed for an internship in an enterprise over a consecutive period of 16 weeks or 4 months. Students are required to work full-time as temporary employees. The work assignment must be well-defined, involve clear-cut responsibilities, and be beneficial to the employer.
Students must meet the following qualifications:
Accumulated at least 90 credits, excluding courses with an F grade.
Attained a GPAX of at least 2.00 prior to the internship.
Achieved a passing grade in all required pre-internship activities specified by the university at the time of internship application.
Not undergone a study suspension period during the semester for which the internship is intended.
Not diagnosed with infectious diseases or being incapable which causes difficulty in attending the internship in an enterprise.
Have behaved well.
Not been subjected to disciplinary action resulting in a study suspension penalty or more severe punishment. Grading Scales
"Pass" Grade (S) = 70-100 Points
"Fail" Grade (U) = 0-69 Points
Overseas Internship
Students must undertake a 16-week internship.
The School DOES NOT approve any agency-mediated internship.
Students must submit an internship acceptance letter issued by a workplace supervisor.
Students must mediate between a supervisor and an internship advisor.
