LSAメンバーであるMichael Whittle氏が、韓国光州広域市のA.C.C. (Asian Culture Centre) にて、traditionalなインク・水彩画と拡張現実の手法を組み合わせた絵画に基づく新しい芸術科学のインスタレーションを創る4ヶ月のアーティスト・イン・レジデンス プログラムを進めます。

Michael Whittle氏の展示は、日本、ベルギー、中国、アメリカなどの科学者との共同によって制作され、伝統的なヨーロッパの花の静物画を科学やダイアグラム的な思考から再考します。Michael Whittle氏の作品は、宇宙物理、遺伝子学、生物物理、数学哲学などの最先端の研究から描かれています。

British Artist Michael Whittle, a member of LSA, will spend a period of 4 months as artist in residence at the A.C.C. (Asian Culture Centre) in Gwangju, South Korea, to create a new installation of Art - Science based drawings that combine traditional ink and watercolour images with augmented reality.

His exhibition reimagines traditional European 'still life' paintings of flowers from a scientific, diagrammatic perspective, and in collaboration with scientists working in Japan, Belgium, China and the USA, these new art works draw upon cutting edge research from Astrophysics, Genetics and Biophysics and the Philosophy of Mathematics
