Rocket Launcher - RPG-7 (Weapon 5)
Moving on, I made a start on the fifth gun which was the rocket launcher. I found this gun fun to model as it change things up as the rest were almost the same repetitive models such as the mags, barrels etc. However, this one was a complete new change. I enjoyed every bit of this gun from the rocket to the body of the weapon. I didn't really come across any problems on this gun as it was smooth from start to finish. I had a slight issue when trying to model the handles and the scope to the gun however everything else went smoothly and swiftly. This was another model that I modelled via the help of Miro to ensure I got all the details that will be important on the gun. It was starting to be a pattern to me using Miro for the references as they helped so much with the mood boards I created at the start. Another pattern that occurred to me was the baking techniques which have helped me so much in these models when trying to add finer details which is exactly what I did on this weapon. Below are the videos of me modelling, UV unwrapping and texturing the weapon.

How did it go?
Overall I am very impressed with how this gun turned out as I think it has been my favourite one to model. The entire process of me modelling the gun, UV unwrapping and texturing had been a habbit to me as in knowing what to do. With the amount of guns I had modelled at this point, I knew what I was doing and nothing had slowed me down anymore. I did encounter a problem during the modelling stage which I managed to solve but everything else wasn't a problem.
Any Problems?
One of the main problems I came across was during the modelling process of the gun as I was a little stumped on how to bring the look across on the handles of the gun. This issue had me confused as it was broke up into two sections. It had the main piece attached to the body of the gun in the middle with two leather like handle grips on either side which caused me some problems on how to actually bring this across in the modelling side. I came across a final solution at the end but this did have me stuck for some time.
Solutions..?
I came across this issue during the process of modelling the first handle. This stumped me a little bit as I didn't know how to bring the look across in the model. I first attempted insetting the faces on either side and extruding out but I soon realized that the middle part is thinner so I undid that and tried a different approach. I extruded out the two faces and the realized that the middle column is still to wide so I tried to adjust some verts around the middle which started to get where I wanted to be. I then thinned out the outer faces to ensure that they are not too thick. Which I then beveled for a smoother look. To add the look of the handle having the two outer pieces, I decided to extrude the middle column in to allow that affect of the two outer grips.
