On this page will be all my final products that have been displayed using different methods. I will talk about the ways I have shown my work and which ones have turned out to be the best. This will allow me to understand which renders capture the most details and which ones look better.
Turn Tables
Turn tables were a great way for me to showcase my work and include all angles possible. This would allow me to show my work as slow as I want to ensure you get the attention on every part of the model. It also allowed me to mess around with the lighting to ensure that I can showcase the materials and allow them to stand out. It also enlightend the mood rather than keeping the flat back drop feel. I think this method turned out great and produced a great final look on all of my models.
Static Renders
Static render were something that I felt were a great way to keep something simplistic but they also allow to create the best angles and align things up to perfect the shot you wanted and in my case this worked really well. These renders also allowed me to add in lighting to give reflections as well as HDRI's to add an affective background. These renders were simple but created a great mood for a still image.
Sketchfab
One final method I used was sketchfab which was a brilliant idea. This way to show off my work allows the person to be in control of what they want to see as they are free to roam around my scenes. This helps to show off smaller details such as grips or scopes and allows them to explore more of my models inside and out. They have control of checking, final renders or wire frames to see how clean the models look in both views.
Best Result?
Overall, these three methods turned out great and created a great atmosphere across each method but I think the most affective one that I used was the turn tables as these allowed the high level of details in a slow circular pattern to showcase the entirety of each model. I think the static images were great but they don't showcase enough of the models to see more of the details as it's locked in place. The HDRI image creates a fantastic world and adds a realistic lighting which was my favourite method of the static renders but it doesn't show enough. The sketchfab renders were another great idea to present my work in its best form but they don't always allow for every angle to be seen easily such as my building as it's not as easy to navigate everywhere.
