The Kentucky Federation of Music holds two state meetings per year. The first is a fall convention hosted by either the Lexington Federation of Music Clubs or the Stephen Foster Music Club in Bardstown. The other is a summer meeting of the KFMC Board, held in late June in Richmond and held during the Stephen Foster Music Camp for middle and high school music students.

Summer KFMC Board Meeting, Friday, June 26, 2026: Hosted by the Cecilian Club of Richmond, KY, and held at the Eastern Kentucky Center for the Arts in Richmond. The Summer Board Meeting comprised reports from state chairs of various musical activities, a report about the NFMC conference in Arizone, and a discussion about filling the positions of KFMC officers, includsing state treasurer. The meeting was held in concjunction with the Irene Muir Luncheon honoring the scholarship students of the Stephen Foster Music Camp.
Fall convention, Saturday, November 1, 2025: Bardstown. Hosted by the Stephen Foster Music Club. The convention included dance steps from the times of Jane Austen, a ukulele gathering, a performance from a piano trio, installment of new officers, and selection of a new delegate to represent Kentucky at NFMC.
Summer board meeting, Friday, June 27, 2025: Richmond. Hosted by the Cecilian Club. The board meeting included reports from officers and state chairs about KFMC activities. The meeting coincided with the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Stephen Foster Music Camp, held on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. Fall convention, Saturday, October 19, 2024: Lexington. Hosted by the Lexington Federated Music Club. Talented musicians performed -- a vocal recital in the morning and a string quartet during the afternoon. Business meeting included installment of new officers and discussion about student scholarships.
