The Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs comprises three clubs; all three promote music of many styles, from the rich heritage of classical music to the sparkling sound of Kentucky's state instrument, the mountain dulcimer.
Basic information about each club is below. Anyone interested in music is welcome to join one of the clubs. Each organization delights in making music, sharing music with others, and offering support (many times through scholarships, always through encouragement) to younger musicians striving to meet their musical goals.
The Cecilian Club, located in Richmond, was organized in 1886. The club named itself the Cecilian Club after St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music, in 1898. The Cecilian Club was federated at the national level in 1907 and the state level in 1921.

The Lexington Federated Music Club was organized on September 24, 1968. The Club became affiliated with both KFMC and NFMC in 1968.

Stephen Foster Music Club, located in Bardstown, is named after nineteenth-century American composer Stephen Collins Foster. This Club was founded and federated in 1935.
