I have greatly enjoyed various works on scenic and set, including scenic design and set construction. Anything hands on brings me great joy, especially after my background in competitive robotics, and I love engineering challenges that need to be solved in a short period of time.

This is such an emotional and heavy play, and while it is set in the late 1800s, themes from this show are still very relevant today. This was my first staged reading, and it was amazing to have the opportunity to work with such lovely directors and an incredibly talented cast and crew, and to be able to present my designs to audience members directly.

The biggest challenge going into this show was figuring out how to safely suspend someone from the ceiling in a small black box theatre space, and then how to tear down a wall mid-show safely. It was difficult, but also incredibly rewarding to see everything come together.

I worked on this show in a limited capacity, and primarily assisted in the build of the metal framing of the backdrop flats, as well as the staircases. However, I was able to work with a phenomenal crew, from performers in the Las Vegas Strip's Tournament of Kings to pyrotechnic designers at Battlebots.
