I know Clark can seem like A LOT and I'm sure people don't know where to even start with him or HOW. Hopefully this interaction guide (paired with my plot ideas page) can help you get enough of an idea to maybe be able to jump into plotting with a vague idea or two.

☕ WHO IS CLARK THOMPSON ??☕

Clark Thompson as he was born does not legally exist and has been dead for quite some time. While he will often use his real name in conversation or even business exchanges, there is no actual paper trail of the man and no easily found evidence to connect the man he is now to the grave that rests alongside his mother's. Between this and his intricate web of aliases, alter egos, and false identities, he has garnered quite the Boogeyman-esque reputation within the circles he operates.

Clark Thompson is, to the newcomer simply hearing about him, a cautionary story to tell. He is a resource that may or may not exist but one you only want to call upon as a last resort. He is a ruthless businessman, he is a crafty criminal, and he has an otherworldly and supernatural air about him. Or, perhaps, just a strange man you came upon by chance.

☕ ALIASES☕

While he favors not straying too far from his own name, he has a plethora of identities he will operate under either in person or over some other form of exchange. His second go-to aliases involves his middle name: Gabriel. Otherwise, I'm open to leaving it up to a potential writing partner to just come up with a name they may have heard of him by and I'll likely roll with it.

It's to be noted his web of these identities is so vast he will often interact with them within the business world to sell their validity. That is to say, I don't have each and every one mapped out and it leaves plenty of open spots for partner collaboration on the matter.

It's also to be noted I don't utilize this too often in threads by default and would need to be involved in plotting to become anything but a background mention.

☕ BUSINESS LIAISONS☕

Because he is immortal and a very busy man, it isn't uncommon that he will send liaisons in his place to conduct in person meetings or to deliver messages or whatever. I have three NPCs that fall into this category that may be mentioned eventually, but otherwise it is again a pretty spottily developed aspect that can see writing partner involvement in the form of your muse becoming an assistant or liaison or perhaps knowing one, etc.

☕ WHAT DOES CLARK DO ??☕

Clark Thompson has his hands in many pockets. Typically, he operates in the white collar world and dances that expected line between legal and not. He also dabbles in just straight up white collar crime. He dabbles in actual crime within the underworld and he dabbles in supernatural dealings. He's bored and constantly looking for things to do and so he really is just sort of an Everyman. His typical position in any situation is either a deal-maker and middleman or a problem-solver. He is both active in the business overworld, the criminal underworld, and the supernatural world.

☕ WHERE IS HE USUALLY ??☕

Clark Thompson has the ability to be anywhere in a blink of an eye. Needless to say, he can be wherever he wants and utilizes this ability heavily. PREDOMINATELY though, you will find him operating in a few specific locations:

USA wise: NYC, New Orleans, Washington DC, LA, or his where his main home resides: Alexandria, Louisiana.

New York, California, and Louisiana are going to be the states you find him most often in.

As far as internationally, pretty much anywhere there are big business hotspots. This is a very flexible part of Clark and his abilities and penchant to travel for business make it easy to place him wherever.

☕ WHY WOULD YOU NEED HIM ??☕

I'm not above the Random Encounter approach, but in terms of why your muse might actively seek Clark out:

Clark markets himself as a problem solver. Have a problem? He'll fix it. He is a very connected man and is very good to go to for information and intel. I will warn that Clark is the sort of resource one doesn't typically seek out unless they've exhausted all other avenues first. He is a 'fuck, what else is there to try?' last resort resource.
