Welcome

Background: Welcome! You will find details of some cool research projects, teaching resources, news articles, and fun stuff on this site. Materials posted on this website are a by-product of my lifelong learning and journey that started in a tiny village in India where (unfortunately) people still do not have access to proper electricity, education, three meals, clothes, and shelter. My years of experience tutoring and coaching hundreds of kids, including those who have access to the best possible resources and those with no access to basic amenities, helps me create a collaborative environment of learning for students belonging to different classes, cultures, preferences, and experiences together via proper education, training, mentorship, and mutual respect. My training at some of the world-class and socially aware campuses has prepared me to be a good faculty member who cares about students, conducts top-quality research, and makes academia accessible and welcoming for people of all identities.

Belief: "Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence." -- Dr. Ambedkar. I strongly believe in this idea. We must recognize that each of us can achieve this goal. We must create opportunities and an atmosphere where everyone contributes their best. In that case, we can make unbelievable progress in all dimensions.

Research: My doctoral research centered on the security of behavioral biometric systems. With the rapid evolution of biometric paradigms, my scholarly pursuits have expanded to the trustworthiness of biometric systems, emphasizing their performance in the wild, security, and fairness. I am interested in diving into the privacy and explainability of these systems in the future. In pedagogic endeavors, I specialize in instructing foundational courses such as Introduction to Computer Science, Data Structures, and Computer Architecture. My interest lies in developing and teaching courses in applied data science, computer security, and biometrics. My commitment to student mentorship remains paramount, and I derive profound satisfaction from catalyzing their academic and holistic progression.
