Simple teaching tips I wish I had known in the early days of my teaching:
Prepare a weekly schedule with possibly book chapters and auto-graded quizzes (auto-graded: yes, you won't have time to grade, and you don't have to have manually grade quizzes, which are supposed to track whether students are reading chapters and reviewing lectures)
Create slides and notes that are well-paced every week: try to teach only new material, especially without covering what students already know. However, provide all the basics to bring all students to the same level of understanding before discussing the complex topic.
Create activities (separate paper-based activities, ingrained into slides) for every class—yes, it is possible.
Build auto-graded weekly homework.
Also, using exams in increasing order of weights increases inclusivity, as it takes some students time to absorb new knowledge.
