Study Groups are the foundation for introducing Kudo to new communities and areas. They provide a flexible and supportive starting point for individuals or small groups who are interested in learning and practicing Kudo before forming an official club or branch.
A Study Group is an informal training group that operates under the guidance of a recognised Kudo instructor or branch. It is ideal for:
Martial arts practitioners exploring Kudo for the first time
Instructors from other styles looking to cross-train or expand
Areas where there is no established Kudo branch yet
Study Groups allow participants to begin training in the core principles, techniques, and values of Kudo in a safe and structured environment.
Regular training support from experienced instructors.
Opportunities to attend seminars, events, and gradings.
KIF Membership and Mentorship from established Kudo branches.
A flexible pathway toward becoming a Development Group or full Kudo Branch.
Connection to the wider Kudo International Federation (KIF) network.
Advertising on the England Kudo website and social media accounts.

Safe Guarding procedure and officers details.
The only condition from the English Kudo Federation which is set by Kudo International Federation (KIF) is -
Any one who regularly attending the Kudo Study Group sessions will need to registered with KIF. As a member of KIF you are eligiable to
Grade in Kudo under Branch Chief
Enter International and domestic Kudo competitions
The above requirements are in place through the duration of running a KSG, KDG or an official branch.
Regular attendance of England Kudo events, example Seminars, Workshops, Competitions and Events.
When promoting a Kudo Study Group (KSG) session with out a branch chief/4th Kyu and above instructor -
You must wear your Kudo Belt/Rank in the session/on promotion material
You should not advertise or promote you will be “teaching” Kudo if you are below 4th Kyu.
You should host your dedicated branch chief annually for a session.
