Mind on Nature

May 2018 Oh how my garden grows...

Oooh my bones are crack'in!

I need herbal meds!

I've been feeling very creative lately. I've taken up wood burning and creating Tillandsia terrariums. The terrariums are easy. I search the internet for inspiration. Then I CREATE! So fun! Now the wood burning is much more difficult. I find it challenging to keep the lines uniform. I like the leaves designs the best. I need to get more stencils. The thinner lines are the most difficult. And the darker wood with more obvious grain is more difficult to burn also. But I'm going to stick with it.

Wood Burning

My Garden 2018

This is these are the before pictures. It was in pretty bad shape. But I was inspired!

So I started in January and worked until April. I had a bit of help from Big Hurt and Poppi.

Making Progress!

I was on Pinterest just looking around a few years back and got the idea for a cinder block wall planter. I made that and planted it with ivy. The following summer I made a bench out of an upcycled headboard and cinder blocks. You can see it in the background of the second picture. This year I decided to go all out! I was remaking everything with cinder blocks. I really liked the way it gave a uniformity and modernity to my garden. Also, another perk is it creates more seating.
