There are actually two remaining Epsilon charter certificates, but this one is framed for display, and the other is not.

This certificate was presented to the Epsilon Chapter by Tau Beta Pi during the merger ceremony of January 27th, 1974.

Paul Milton Hefty was initiated into the Epsilon Chapter on December 10th, 1937. At that time, he was a mechanical engineering student at Kansas State College. He was from Valley Falls, Kansas, and his Sigma Tau catalog card shows that he was a member of the Class of 1939. It is unclear why his slide rule was left to the chapter. Paul Hefty can be seen in the 1938 and 1939 Epsilon group photos.

Three record books remain from the Epsilon Chapter. at the top of the stack is the original book containing meeting minutes and roll call tables from 1912-1916. The middle book contains minutes and attendance data from 1942-1948, and the bottom book contains minutes and attendance records from 1942-1962.
