The Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library is the largest repository in the city for local newspapers in physical, digitally scanned, and microform formats. The library's holdings span from the early 1800s to the present and include newspapers in both English and German. Through navigating the library's newspaper holdings, users can discover family histories, learn about local history and events, research house and real estate history, and much more. This guide hopes to aid all genealogists, local historians, and library users on what the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library (CHPL) offers, as well as provide tips and best practices on how to use newspaper databases.
