First Robotics has been a huge part of my life for the last four years. The thought of making a 120-pound robot and competing with it was the most exciting thing I had ever tackled. Every January we would start our six-week rat race to design, build and test a robot to complete a given task. As team captain the last two years, I took care of the final design and spent countless late nights working on plans. I had studied every bolt hole and knew almost every dimension by heart. In this program I found a group of people who loved solving problems and bringing those ideas into reality.
