Adam Bennett has been serving as the Athletic Trainer contracted to King Philip Regional High School since 2015. He started in this position under Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Rehabilitation, and transitioned to Brigham & Women's Hospital Department of Orthopedics in 2016, before most recently moving to Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine in 2022.
Adam received his Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Ohio University in 2018 and his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State University in 2014. He has been a certified and licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Massachusetts since 2014.
As part of his undergraduate studies, he had clinical rotations at local educational institutions that gave him an understanding and appreciation of intercollegiate and interscholastic athletics. In the year after he completed his undergraduate degree, he coached for a year at King Philip Regional High School as an Assistant Track and Field Coach. He played a vital role in the Girls’ Indoor Track and Field team winning the 2014-2015 Division II State Championship Meet. When the vacancy for the Athletic Trainer position contracted from Massachusetts General Hospital became open, the choice was clear for him to assume the role. During his time working with the athletic programs at King Philip, he has supported student-athletes in three state championship-winning tournament runs with Softball in 2016 and Football in 2016 and 2017.
Since being brought on and contracted to King Philip Regional High School, Adam cemented himself as a valuable member of the school's Athletics Department and the hospital network's Athletic Training Outreach Staff. Most notably reviewing and revising the school district’s concussion management policies and procedures, helping to lay a foundation for Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine's concussion policy template and the portfolio of policy and procedure templates for partnering school districts to use.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, family, and his dog, and watching sports where he doesn't have to provide medical coverage.
