The Singing Spheres are five enchanted orbs in Chaos Before Apocalypse, configured through powerful magic & sustained by reinforcement spells to help the communities they inhabit. Spread throughout the world at the centre of different towns, casting an area-wide effect around it. They were created by a small group of mages about a decade after The Collapse, to help society rebuild & recover faster. It’s said that when you’re within an affected area, you can hear a constant, gentle song at the back of your head.

I’m thiiinking in the hypothetical CBA show there’d be episodes dedicated to the gang trying to protect these from being stolen by The Quantum Order- with specific orbs corresponding to one of their arcs. They ultimately fail in this, because Persophia still steals them & harvests their magic, as a symbolic spit in the face at the long-dead mages who created them, but at least they tried.

The Pearl Of Weather, displayed as the topper of a humble, pretty-but-not-too-fancy water fountain in the middle of town. Protects area from disasters & storms, provides rain for crops, can be scheduled to suit the people’s needs. Can also summon storms for defence. (Tyler has to learn to get angry and stand up for himself, he doesn’t just exist to be the helpful everyman. Also where he & Zeke get stuck somewhere & Tyler finally snaps at him for being condescending)

The Star Of Sight, embedded into the head of a statue with two holes, letting the light shine through the “eyes”. The statue is that of a bird looking at the sky. Gives people night vision and removes the need for industrial lighting. You can see the stars in broad daylight. Plot probably has something to do with invisibility? (Nova wants to be seen as themself instead of the shadow of a dead sibling they never knew, and prove to Ryan they can be trusted to make their own decisions.)

The Gift Of Animation, embedded into a mural on the wall, held in the hands of a painting of a little kid presenting the orb like one would a present. Brings physical art like sculptures or drawings with a specific sigil drawn on it to life. (Ryan needs to learn he can’t just always do things by the book, these aren’t his college project robots- he needs to be loose & creative.)

The Eye Of Integrity, kept at the top of a watchtower. Acts as a truth field, people physically cannot tell a lie, but they can still keep secrets and refuse to talk about things. Does not give people knowledge they didn’t already know- it’s personal honesty, not universal truth. (Emiko realising her mistrust was misplaced. Also learning to be more compassionate towards Zeke specifically because he’s a compulsive liar (emphasis on the COMPULSIVE) so suddenly not having his most familiar coping mechanism with him is agonising & she realises oh god he’s not some evil mastermind plotting behind her back he’s actually in pain)

The Staff Of Health, orb kept at the tip of a wooden staff placed in a display case in a historical replica of its inventor’s old cottage. Keeps people physically healthy & keeps sickness at bay, does not affect aging, and works slower with severe injury. Does not remove disability but can soothe pain. (Zeke has to learn he needs to focus more on doing good rather than punishing himself for doing bad)
