A long, long time ago, back in the 18th Century, Ishikawa Hoshiko was an emotionally-neglected, materially-pampered noble-born alchemist, who'd always been interested in experimenting with magic and science. Other than not exactly being the nicest person around, having been rather self-serving & entitled even then, her life & actions were generally quite tame. But that all changed after The Collapse; an apocalyptic event that levelled cities, and brought the world to a halt.
With so many people dead- well. A post-apocalypse isn't an easy one to live in. Hoshiko needed to survive; but rather than joining others in trying to build communities and sharing resources, she grew colder, and crueller. She would do anything to claw her way to the top & maintain the control, power, and influence she had before The Collapse, even if it meant hurting everyone else along the way. She also magically experimented on herself to give herself better combat traits, and live longer; which actually wasn't that uncommon of a practice at the time, but the way she went about it was... less benign than any simple "heal these injuries" or "make me immune to fire" spell.
But when the Singing Spheres were created only about a decade after The Collapse, Hoshiko was both horrified & disgusted to see the world... not just recover, but thrive. As if the past ten years of suffering & pain meant nothing. As if all the pain she'd caused, everything she'd built up to, was all just unnecessary, because all the sentimental goody-two-shoes ended up being right.
So instead of taking this second chance at life to change her ways in a rebuilding world, she doubled down on her hate. Sure, she could act as diplomatically as her noble heritage entailed, but under the surface, only grew more cunning, selfish, and spiteful; endlessly climbing social ladders, all in the name of trying to prove that it's everyone for themself.
Today, going by the pseudonym of Persophia Deathling, Persophia is the beloved CEO of The Quantum Order, a technology company that provides gadgets & robots to the city of Majikkutaun. But while a parasitic money sink that either bought or outshone every other technology company in the city, she wasn't really too malicious... until she accidentally discovered the existence of The Scrap Realm.
Learning that the world was literally the subconscious creation spawned from some dying entity's imagination... all of that magical prowess, just sitting there, and for what? She'd already hated this world, but now, she grew to despise it. Creation, life, existence; all of it felt like a mockery. What use is such a world's continued existence? Even the being that created this universe was most likely unaware of the universe they created, and worse still, was dying. The world was once again going to leave its past behind, and live on. But if it was all just for the purpose of existing, so randomly, and wasn't a grand, destined narrative of power, then what's the point of it all? How dare humanity continue in happiness & bliss?
So. If this- this cancer of a world could be created, then couldn't it be destroyed? Now, that sounds like an experiment she'd like to try. Perhaps the grandest experiment of them all. Spurred on by her new ambition, to succeed where The Collapse failed, Persophia sought to create a vessel for her to raise as her own, and channel the magic needed for her plan to work. This led to the creation of her sons, Zeke & Adam, clones in her image. Zeke, her intended lapdog & eventual vessel, and Adam, the backup if something went wrong.
Whether or not this villain will succeed in her evil plot... that's another story entirely. But her eventual goal is to use her vessel to act as a conduit to channel enough magic into a machine to open a portal to the Scrap Realm, absorbing the realm's magical power for herself, and turn every other person into a Reaper Hound, leaving them to tear each other apart as she continues to absorb magic. Then, as what remains of humanity kills each other, and she's destroyed every last city, the Earth will crack itself apart; taking all known life with it. An empty void in space where a world once was.
❤️Personality
Jovial & charming- Persophia’s charisma & approachability makes it easy to forget that she's not exactly the greatest person. Outwardly, she acts very laidback & casual, even sympathetic & friendly. She's able to advertise herself as the city's darling lead scientist CEO without being too obnoxious; though she certainly knows how to be obnoxious if she wants to. Frighteningly intelligent when it comes to academics & sciences, though not as infallible as she's led everyone, including herself, to believe. Often prone to arrogance, as she underestimates the capabilities of others.
Not that far underneath the surface, she's... manipulative, yes, but also just straight-up an unapologetic arse. She only ever really acts friendly on a very surface, artificial level. Otherwise, she's quick to open cruelty & mean-spiritedness, only to turn around & say it's all "just a joke, don't be so sensitive!" when called out on it. She enjoys aggravating people & messing with their heads, both subtly & openly; finding others' confusion & misery to be amusing. She lives by the philosophy of, "Life isn't fair & it's every person for themself," believing true compassion & sincerity to be an annoying weakness that's just asking to be exploited. If you've ticked her off, she rarely hesitates to do her worst.
At her core, she's fuelled by endless hatred & rage, wishing to destroy the world simply because she despises everything in it, seeing no reason for it to continue further. Nothing is permanent & happiness is a lie, so what's the point? She has no actual desire to even conquer or recreate the world for her own; simply to end it. This pitiful show has been dragging on for long enough; so it'd be better for this worthless excuse for an existence to end sooner, rather than later.
...Despite her insistence on being aloof & distant, she does care about a select few things; but absolutely despises that about herself & makes an effort to squash it all down.

Adam & Zeke: While she's not the worst mother in the world, she's certainly not the best either. She did love & care for both of her sons when they were kids, but her love is conditional: Persophia only loves them when they fit into her image of what she wants them to be. Otherwise, she can be harsh & unforgiving, readily holding every mistake they've ever made over their heads.
When Adam & Zeke were kids, Persophia kept them sheltered by limiting their experiences to being privately tutored, to be then picked up to accompany her at her office before going home late, rather than letting them hang out or enrol in any kind of school with other kids- think of the scandal if Persophia's children were to act uncouth in public, where she couldn't monitor all their actions? She intentionally pitted them against each other by comparing one to the other's skills & attributes when they were in private; fostering their loyalty towards her, and increasing their competitiveness towards each other. She believed this upbringing would toughen them up & help them maximise their skills & learning. ...In a way, it did work, as these two know a lot more about science, magic, and combat than your average person, but both have abysmal social skills or practical experience.
Currently, when it comes to Zeke, she's annoyed at his sudden spout of unruly rebellion, but thinks his fear & terror is hilarious in a sort of pathetic way. Before he ran away, she favoured him not just because he was older, but because he was smarter & more skilled. She sincerely supported Zeke's interest in becoming a doctor, and let him enrol in college, believing it would foster his talents even further, and boost her own reputation by having her son seeking to become a doctor. She saw great potential in his abilities, and had intended him to be her second-in-command & eventual vessel for channelling powerful magic, slowly easing him into working for her as a lapdog & being desensitised with her more morally questionable actions, but her plans for him were cut short when he discovered her experiments too early.
When it comes to Adam, she thinks it's absolutely adorable how hard he tries to impress her; her sweet little prince of the dark, but otherwise never really paid him much mind until Zeke ran & Adam was all she had left. Despite his natural-born talent for magic, she considered him less skilled & intelligent than his brother, only keeping him around in case his power became useful, one day; Adam had always been intended as a backup/replacement incase Zeke went rogue. She does think he's funnier & wittier than Zeke is, though.
Despite her own confidence that she'd be willing to kill them without hesitation if necessary, she... really can't. Persophia's more attached to her children than even herself realises. She genuinely believes that they'd be better off if they just followed her command dutifully, and feels disappointed, maybe even hurt, when they don't. ...Even if her idea of being "better off" would be to eventually die in what she views as a more "dignified" manner than the rest of the world.
📚Unique Abilities
Magic
Everyone has magic with the potential to do literally anything if they trained hard enough. And boy, has Persophia been studying. After centuries of heavy self-experimentation using a combination of magic & technology, she's a lot more powerful than your average person, but still not as powerful as her intimidation tactics would lead many to believe. Her current abilities mostly include, but may-or-may-not be limited to:
Enhanced Strength: She's strong enough to rip through steel with ease, though doesn't have much endurance; like a glass cannon. A well-timed, bare-handed punch could easily send her wheezing.
Liquid Limbs: Her limbs can stretch several metres. Though the longer & bigger they stretch, the weaker & less solid they become.
Extended Lifespan: Persophia's one of the handful few in all of history who've become somewhat decent at magic that specifically keeps her... maybe not healthy, but alive. A necessity, if she wanted to survive after The Collapse. She does age, but it's at a far slower pace than most people, and keeping herself alive this way has taken quite the toll on her body. She's alive in the sense that her heart still beats, her brain is functioning, and she's conscious; but her lungs stopped needing air years ago, and she doesn't really get sick anymore, nor need to eat.
The specific spell she cast on herself back in the 18th Century, while much more effective at expanding one's lifespan, has become outdated by modern standards; but due to how long she's had to repeat it, her body is physically incompatible with modern healing & lifespan spells. Most folks nowadays can reasonably expect to reach their 130s and still be quite spry, albeit elderly, thanks to modern healthcare and magic, but Persophia is the only person to date who's kept up a relatively youthful appearance and lived to her 200s. But given the state of her constantly rotting body, it can be argued if this was even worth it.

Basically she dies for real by getting pushed into the wormhole, the magic being so powerful that it ends up overwhelming & killing her. (Like an overcharged battery).
Never had a spouse or got pregnant; Zeke & Adam are clone babies.
Her outfit is intentionally pretty boring because she's so joyless. Girl does NOT care for having fun with her attire other than like the bare minimum to appeal to her investors.
