Falcon Flight
Falcon Flight
Falcon Flight, also simply known as Falcon, is an intelligent & experienced zoologist who specializes in researching the various magical creatures of Equestria. She works alongside her friends, Hindwing & Honey Shock in the Dazzlewood Forest.
She is currently the last remaining member of the Ace Of Swords, having joined the organisation in her 20s & never really leaving. She's been in search for her missing friend, Hexapoda, & the rest of his family, for nine years.
She doesn't know this until post-canon, but Falcon Flight is the reincarnation of Platinum Touch after the latter's defeat. It's the ultimate irony; the selfish, fame-hungry unicorn with no regard for wildlife & clinging so desperately to her youth, eventually reborn as the selfless, older, lone hermit pegasus who's a zoologist and gotten a bit too familial with her younger roommates; & Falcon Flight being one of the very individuals that led to Platinum's downfall.
She never gains back Platinum's memories, but she has... impressions. Little snippets of knowledge & skills she doesn't know why she has; like information on jewelry, or strategies to win unicorn duels- which wouldn't make sense to have knowledge about, as a pegasus.
❤️Personality
Prim, proper, posh. At first glance, Falcon may come off as a bit of a snob, & it's not entirely false. She's a loner & a hermit, often pushing away those who try to get close to her; fearing the risk of getting too attached, only to lose the people she cares about... again.
Underneath that snootiness & gruffness, however, lies someone who's just as much of a softie & nerd as her new roommates. Even if she's not quite as social with other ponies or creatures; she has a soft spot for magical fauna, having sworn to protect the forest. She may dislike getting dirty, but that doesn't mean she won't when the situation calls for it.
To those that do manage to get close to her, Falcon is an extremely loyal & passionate friend; willing to go through hell or high water for those she really cares about, & surprisingly sweet. She knows better than to be some self-sacrificial wannabe-hero; but being selfless is a hard habit for her to break.
And... well, she can't avoid her roommates forever, can she? They're supposed to be a team, after all. If she finds herself loosening up a bit, perhaps thinking of them as friends, or even family, well... maybe the risk is worth it, for once.

Sometimes, a family is a very grouchy middle-aged pegasus, & the two full-grown younger adults that were supposed to be just her roommates, but ended up becoming her adopted children.
💛Relationships
Hindwing: They've known each other since Hindwing was just a hatchling. When his family went missing, Falcon Flight tried to visit Hindwing as regularly as she could, at first due to him being the last piece of her missing friends she had left, but then growing fond of Hindwing for himself. Unfortunately, contact grew increasingly sparse over the years, as Falcon retreated deeper into her own walls; though they never lost touch completely.
When the School Of Friendship, with Professor Fluttershy's approval, offered Hindwing a position in Dazzlewood Forest where Falcon Flight worked, Hindwing jumped at the opportunity- if only so he wouldn't be alone when he eventually graduated (There were other reasons, but that was the biggest factor for Hindwing.). Falcon Flight, meanwhile, was taken aback by his sudden re-introduction to her life, but she couldn't find it in herself to say no.
While things were somewhat tense at first, the two would eventually form a close, sort of mother-son bond; as Falcon Flight softened around him & Hindwing grew more confident in her presence.
Honey Shock: They were just supposed to be co-workers at first, Honey Shock having been assigned to be Falcon Flight's zoological assistant, but things quickly turned informal just with Honey Shock's whole... personality. But while they did grow somewhat appreciative of one another over the years, mostly out of respect for each other's skills & cooperativeness, they weren't personally close until after Hindwing moved in.
As Honey saw Falcon soften up in a way she'd never seen before, & as Falcon saw Honey & Hindwing's bond; whether they knew it or not, their opinions of each other also grew similarly familial, with their interactions becoming more open & friendly; like completing the final piece of a three-part puzzle. Instead of slightly-less-formal co-workers, they became like mother & daughter.
But these days, Falcon Flight's been getting more worried about the younger pony's reckless activities. Honey Shock reminds her... a lot of her younger self, & how obsessive & self-isolating she'd been. Falcon doesn't want to push too hard & risk driving her away; but Falcon Flight's wings will always be open if Honey Shock ever decides she needs them.

Yes her name was taken from that one lyric in the Wild Kratts theme song.
Honey likes to call her "Falkie", "Falerie", or just "Fal", as nicknames. Hindwing just calls her "Ms. Flight".
She sees a lot of herself in Honey Shock, which is... deeply concerning. She doesn't want to see this kid get hurt & waste her life away by being so self-sacrificial & reckless like she was. Being selfless & kind is one thing, being full-on self-sacrificial is another.
She has chronic back pain from a past injury; that, plus age, means she can't fly as fast as she used to when she was young. But that doesn't mean she can't still do a killer sky dive.
The reincarnation thing is inspired by the Same Coin Theory in the Gravity Falls fandom!
Pretty much never starts a conversation unless she deems it necessary; if you wanna talk to her, you'll have to approach her first, because she sure isn't gonna approach you.
