Honey Shock, also simply known as Honey, is an experienced zoologist & engineer who specializes in researching the various magical creatures of Equestria. She works alongside her friends, Hindwing & Falcon Flight, in the Dazzlewood Forest.
She lost her leg and eye four years ago. She was, very recklessly, trying to save a 15-year-old-&-regressed Hindwing (who'd accidentally wandered into the Forest) from a frightened manticore. While she did a stellar job at ensuring Hindwing's safety, she did not, as she often doesn't, ensure her own.
❤️Personality
Daring, playful, smart. Honey’s love for exploration just barely outweighs her love for engineering. While she can seem brash & reckless at times, she cares deeply for those around her- Sometimes to a self-sacrificial level; never really taking her own safety into account. She isn't suicidal, but she prioritises everyone else's needs above herself, having zero sense of self-preservation.
Despite her energetic, outgoing, bold, & zealous personality; She's an introvert, albeit a loud one. Social interaction tires her out, so she usually prefers going it alone. She's really stubborn about her independence, too. Even when it starts taking a toll on her, both physically & mentally; she'd rather lose another limb than rely on others.
She's not above just straight-up lying if it means avoiding uncomfortable conversations; believing she has every situation under control. She doesn't need help from others, like they do from her, does she?

Hindwing: The two first met around four years ago, when Hindwing was 15, & Honey Shock was 21. Hindwing had wandered into the Dazzlewood Forest while regressed, leaving him vulnerable when a manticore attacked him for stumbling into its territory. Honey Shock, on patrol that day, jumped in to protect him; though she got severely injured as a result, causing her to lose her eye & hoof. Ridden by guilt, Hindwing sought to visit her regularly in the hospital as she recovered; & the two gradually formed an unbreakable bond.
They've seen each other as their unofficial honorary siblings for years; complete with friendly bickering & hi-jinks, & this would only be accentuated as Hindwing moved in with Honey Shock & Falcon Flight to Dazzlewood Forest. They're very openly affectionate & would go to the ends of Equestria for each other, while also calling the other the most stupid hoof-for-brains on the planet.
They're also mutually worried about each other's safety; Honey worries for Hindwing as her baby brother, while Hindwing worries about Honey Shock's recklessness & tendency to endanger herself if it means protecting others- & while Hindwing openly accepts Honey Shock's doting, Honey keeps insisting she doesn't need any help, much to Hindwing's increasing chagrin & concern.Falcon Flight: They were just supposed to be co-workers at first, Honey Shock having been assigned to be Falcon Flight's zoological assistant, but things quickly turned informal just with Honey Shock's whole... personality. But while they did grow somewhat appreciative of one another over the years, mostly out of respect for each other's skills & cooperativeness, they weren't personally close until after Hindwing moved in.
As Honey saw Falcon soften up in a way she'd never seen before, & as Falcon saw Honey & Hindwing's bond; whether they knew it or not, their opinions of each other also grew similarly familial, with their interactions becoming more open & friendly; like completing the final piece of a three-part puzzle. Instead of slightly-less-formal co-workers, they became like mother & daughter.
But these days, Falcon Flight's been getting more worried about the younger pony's reckless activities. Honey Shock reminds her... a lot of her younger self, & how obsessive & self-isolating she'd been. Falcon doesn't want to push too hard & risk driving her away; but Falcon Flight's wings will always be open if Honey Shock ever decides she needs them.

Cybernetics
Prosthetic Hoof: Honey Shock's hoof serves two basic functions: being, well, a prosthetic for her absent right hoof, as well as being a sick-as-heck laser-beam. The hoof is designed to fit neatly & comfortably into an implanted socket on Honey's vestigial limb, so it can communicate with her nervous system more effectively.
Despite its uses, it can be fairly heavy & clunky. The laser-beam also needs several hours to recharge in the sunlight; so Honey doesn't always have it on, even in the day. She only really wears the prosthetic for long field missions that might involve a lot of walking, but can certainly live without it. If anything happens to her prosthetic, Honey has a couple of more light-weighted, though less advanced spares.
Bionic Eye: Less of an eye, & more of a cosmetically emotive supercomputer attached to the side of her face. It takes a strain on Honey's nervous system & the prosthetics' batteries to use both her prosthetic hoof & eye at the same time on full functionality, so Honey's usually set it to a sort of "sleep" mode- only activating its vision when necessary. Mobility seems more practical to keep than perfect vision, y'know?
Still, even if she doesn't usually use it to see, the eye still has a purpose as Honey's... remote? Programme launcher? With it, she can execute codes & scripts & enact them on nearby compatible devices with just a few thoughts; such as opening & closing doors, hacking into nearby computers, calculating equations, & so on. Kinda like Bluetooth. Doing this too much too quickly may cause migraines, however, as it could overload Honey's brain with too much information; so she tries to use the eye's functions one at a time.
Like the hoof; while it has its uses & is designed to integrate smoothly with Honey's nervous system via an implanted socket on where her real eye would've been; she doesn't always have it on & can certainly live without it. It's actually more relaxing & less headache-inducing if she doesn't have her eye equipped. Unlike her hoof, however, she doesn't have any spares for her bionic eye. If anything happens to it, then she does things the old-fashioned way: typing on a keyboard computer.

Didn't build her own prosthetics, but she does tinker with & modify them a lot.
Despite the whole accident with the manticore, she stills loves studying magical animals.
